Infused Reishi Elderberry Syrup


4 cups water

1 cup dried elderberries

1 cinnamon stick

2 - 3 inches fresh ginger

1/4 cup dried orange peel

3 slices dried reishi mushroom

2 star anise pods


1 cup chai spice honey



Add everything BUT the honey too a large pot and bring to a boil. 

Reduce heat, cover and simmer up to 3 hours. 

Turn off the heat and let mixture cool slightly.

Strain infusion when it is still slightly warm, mushing all of the herbs to get every last bit of juice out. 

Compost herbs.

Add honey and shake or stir your jar until it is dissolved.

Store in the fridge and enjoy about 1 Tbsp per day for maintenance!
